The Statmonkey of the Day: January 14, 2011

The Knicks are playoff contenders because of Stat!

The New York Knicks failed to win against the Sacramento Kings, 83 to 93.

In the olden days (last season), they call this New York loss as “normal”.

Now they call this New York loss an upset.

Blame this on Amar’e Stoudemire.

He is the Statmonkey of the Day because even in defeat, he still helps the Knicks improve en route to their climb to the top. Stat had 25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 5 blocks in their loss.

Others doing well for their squads are Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, and Steve Nash.

Game over.
