The Statmonkey of the Day: February 3, 2011

A battle was held in Florida with the Miami Heat defeating the Orlando Magic in their homecourt 104 to 100.

Lebron James recorded the first 50-point game in the season. He also almost scored a triple-double with his 51 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block!

At the start of the season, we are talking about The Big Three but at this point of the season, James is definitely the team’s go-to-guy as Dwyane Wade has returned to his role as a complimentary player. Chris Bosh’s value has decreased as now is only the guy who can give the Heat 20 points, 10 rebounds, and double-doubles “on a good day”.

Luc Mbah a Moute, Ersan Ilyasova, Carlos Delfino, and Kobe Bryant also played well despite their teams losing.

By the way, here’s a clip of Antonio McDyess putting a LOT of salt to the woes of the LA Lakers!

Game over.
