When it
rains... it pours. Smart-Gilas
continues to wax hot while the Rain or
Shine Elasto Painters is starting a losing streak as Gilas downed the
Painters, 99-94. In a battle where
former National mentor is pitted with current National mentor, Rajko Toroman outshone Yeng Guiao.
The
last time these two mentors faced off, Wynne
Arboleda clobbered a fan. Yeng Guiao was still with Air21 then.
A
major reason for the win is JV Casio.
The former DLSU guard erupted for 29 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. He
was also online from the three-point range with five conversions. Three Team RP cagers scored 20 points and more.
Recently
naturalized Marcus Douthit dominated
anew with 23 points, 18 rebounds. 3
assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks.
Because
he is imba, he is not qualified to claim local honors.
Asi Taulava and Sol Mercado of the Meralco
Bolts, Marc Pingris of the B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados, and Chris Tiu of Smart-Gilas round up the
top 5 of the Day.
Game
over.
