A young-looking JV Casio before his Team Pilipinas muscles developed. |
Martin Zeno played well for the Powerade Tigers but it was not enough to
give them the win as they lost to Smart-Gilas,
98 to 97.
The
Nationals played without naturalized big man Marcus Douthit because of injury.
Stepping
up to his aide is JV Casio.
The
diminutive scorer has grown leaps and bounds since entering the program and is
now imposing his presence as a legitimate scoring machine as he powered
Smart-Gilas with 29 points, 4 rebounds,
6 assists and 1 steal.
Again
the lack of local scoring support that is not Gary David proved to be the downfall of the Tigers. Zeno finished
the game with 28 points, 11 rebounds, 4
assists, and 2 steals.
Completing
the Day’s Top Five are PJ Simon, Arwind
Santos, Marcio Lassiter, and Japeth Aguilar,
Game
over.
