It
will be interesting how the PBA
teams will scramble to scour the talents playing in Smart-Gilas. With the exception of Talk N Text-bound Japeth Aguilar, expect a lot of these players to
get high positions in the draft.
Marcio Lassiter is one of those players.
Averaging 40 minutes per game, Lassiter draws a lot of attention as a serious
scorer with a great arm to hustle and orchestrate plays. In their nail-biting 102 to 99 win against the Air21 Express, Lassiter had 22 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and two
steals.
He
barely edged Alaska’s LA Tenorio for
the daily honors. Also doing their best were San Miguel’s Jay Washington, Alaska’s Joe Devance, and Air21’s Jay-R Reyes.
In the
import battle, Smart-Gilas’ Marcus
Douthit continues to dominate with his 30
points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, and two blocks.
In
other words, Smart-Gilas was on this day.
Game
over.
