It was
supposed to be Chuck Hayes’ debut in
the Statmonkey universe.
However,
who invited Blake Griffin to crash
the party?
Chuck
Hayes spent 38 minutes collecting a triple-double.
Blake
Griffin spent 51 minutes doing the
same thing.
While
Hayes got the triple-double minus the overtime advantage, Griffin just produced
more. In the Houston Rockets’ 131 to 112
win over the Golden State Warriors, Hayes exploded with 13 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists, and 2
steals. In Griffin’s first triple-double though, he had 33 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists, a steal
and a block. This was pretty much a battle for Top Rookie honors and the right man won as Griffin’s LA Clippers defeated John Wall’s Washington Wizards, 127 to
119.
Kris Humphries, Dwight Howard,
and Chris Kaman
unleashed damage as well.
The
Statmonkey of the Day is Blake Griffin.
As
consolation for his triple double goodness, this is the picture of Chuck Hayes.
Game
over.
