Upset Wednesday was the theme for the April 13 games. In the first game, the Air21 Express had to escape a huge 18-point gap with an impressive 46 scored
points in the third quarter as they claimed the seat to face the Talk N Text Tropang Texters from the Alaska Aces, 97 to 94.
LD Williams went from hero to goat when he
botched his dribble and when he shot an ill-advised halfcourt heave that could
have been scored closer if he thought of passing it to a teammate.
Rain or Shine almost duplicated Air21’s feat
especially with the weak offensive game of Nate
Brumfield but Mark Caguioa went
berserk.
Yes...
The Spark scored 22 of his 30 points in the payoff half
as the Brgy. Ginebra Kings
eliminated the Elasto Painters, 92 to 82.
Caguioa was the top man of the day as he also contributed 11 rebounds and 4 assists. His booming shots were also served
fire extinguisher every time the Elasto Painters try to start a rally.
The
best import of the day is hereby given to the winning import... that’s not
Brumfield. When Air21’s guns were offline, Alpha
Bangura was trying everything to rub his energy to his teammates. And it
did – with Bangura posting in 28 points,
8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a block.
Rounding
up the Top 5 best locals are Dondon
Hontiveros, LA Tenorio, Larry Rodriguez, and Joe Devance.
Game
over.
