The Barangay Ginebra Kings evened the
series last Friday with a thrilling
nail-biter in their Best-of-7 duel
against the Talk N Text Tropang Texters
to the tune of 108 to 106.
In the
battle of the imports, Nate Brumfield
prevailed over Paul Harris. Nate had
the edge in terms of points (27 to 23),
rebounds (15 to 8), assists (8 to 1), steals (3-1) and had fewer turnovers (2
to 7). The only advantages Harris had with Brumfield are blocks (3 to 0) and field goals (Harris had
9/15 while Brumfield had 8/20).
Despite
the loss, Jimmy Alapag was the top
local of Game 2 – finishing with 17
points, 2 rebounds, and 10 assists. Rounding up the Top 5 are Eric Menk, Harvey Carey, Rudy Hatfield,
and surprisingly... John Wilson.
Wilson had a career-high 16 points
to go with his three rebounds, and two
steals.
Game
over.
