STATMONKEY OF
THE DAY
PBA GOVERNOR’S CUP
JULY 13, 2011
Alaska bolstered their chances to
make it to the next level by stopping Rain
or Shine, 88 to 83. With the win, the Aces
got hold of the fourth place – tying the Elasto
Painters in the process. Meanwhile, the Talk N Text Tropang Texters advances to the next round in a
tightly-fought battle against the Meralco
Bolts, 93 to 91.
Getting
the breaks en route to top import honors is Arizona Reid. He has been called to this spot a bunch of times and
if he takes Rain or Shine to the finals, he’ll likely hook up on a Best Import tag.
For
the Statmonkey honors, let’s give it
to the former PCU Dolphin Gabby Espinas.
Despite the loss, Espinas led all locals in scoring and rebounding on July 13.
