Arwind is the Gov's Cup BPC!

I called it and I was right!

With the monster numbers he produced, Arwind Santos is the hands down choice for the 2011 PBA Governor’s Cup Best Player of the Conference Award.

Meanwhile, I think Rain or Shine’s Arizona Reid deserves the Best Import Award. Even if he failed to take the Elasto Painters to the top, he managed to stick around unlike other imports. The other import Jason Forte performed well for Alaska but Reid did better considering that ROS is a weaker team compared to Alaska.

I am still calling Arwind Santos the potential MVP winner.

Especially with Jimmy Alapag virtually feeding his awesomeness to Jason Castro in the 2011 PBA Governor’s Cup Finals, Santos has a clear shot of the award.

Here’s the thing: this is Alapag’s chance to woo the reporters and the players that even if his injury destroyed his stats, he has the leadership and skills for the plum. While he has that guy in terms of leadership, Santos is basically the only proper offensive option at the Petron camp. When the ball doesn’t go to their favor, they give Santos the green light to do everything. In Talk N Text, Chot Reyes has the luxury to use a very strong second unit.

Meanwhile I guess its back to normal for what is the most homoerotic week in sports. Asi Taulava turned back time and became an inside force again when Malaysian Kwaan Yoong Jing turned his testicles and Mark Yee has learned that shouting expletives and pissing people is better than touching the unsaid parts of people.

If Talk N Text wins this series, four games to one, it can be said that the only reason why the Tropang Texters lost a game is because they got found what Mark Yee did icky.

I think people are disappointed to not see Mark Yee in action. Actually, he was DNP in Game 2 but he still made his presence felt by taking out Jojo Duncil from the match. The buzz that gentle groping generated made the series sought after and the physicality displayed in the series made the games watchable.

Now if only Petron can adjust to TNT’s freakishly almost-perfect offense...

Well at least Arwind will win the MVP.

As consolation.

Game over.
