FANTASY BOOKING | WWE RATINGS DROP

So I don’t know what I’m going to do with this site.

Will I exclusively delve to the world of sports?

Should I give personal blogging a shot?

What I do know is that I do not think WWE is in a good place right now, especially with how they currently do their storylines. It feels as if ever since their ratings fall, they have been pushing the panic button quite often.

Just this past Monday, Vince McMahon came from nowhere to deliver a pointless segment up until the arrival of Roman Reigns. All of a sudden, Daniel Bryan shows up to ramble about a title shot opportunity in the other brand. This leads WWE Champion Kofi Kingston to show up.

It was so exciting… and weird.

WHY ARE THEY ON RAW WHEN THEY ARE ASSIGNED TO SMACKDOWN?!?

This leads to Vince McMahon enacting a rule – a wild rule. The wildcard rule states that three Smackdown superstars can have a green light to appear on Raw and vice versa.

But here’s the thing – they have been doing this lax brand split since 2009 and they threw all partitions in 2016. Players like John Cena, Kane, Big Show and The Undertaker have also blurred the brand lines in the current incarnation.

Vince cooked up something that is far from extraordinary.

True that.

In addition, Roman Reigns’ superman punch should not really be a big deal for Vince. The following week, he should have given Reigns an epic beatdown involving all the heel wrestlers in his disposal. Did it really touch his nerve that Reigns would rather please the fans than the boss? This should not be a big deal and this cannot be the kickstart to the pseudo-brand non-split.

Moreover, Reigns is fragile right now… in the sense that the pop he’s getting should be properly used.

If he appears constantly between brands, then the public could turn on him.

And this wildcard card… it felt as if it was doomed from the start no thanks to the appearances of Shane McMahon, Elias, and Lars Sullivan. Shane and Elias I can somewhat understand (since Reigns stated that he’s going to Raw on social media) but Lars?!?

Is he some sort of social media stalker?

So what could be the possible solutions?

I guess WWE needs to use their reserve list. They have too many stars languishing in the sidelines.

I prepared a table to accentuate my point.

This is the current make-up of Raw.

Seth Rollins is the champion and he’s currently in a program with AJ Styles (with Styles possibly turning heel). Drew McIntyre is basically the top heel of the brand and he’s in a program with… Roman Reigns? Braun Strowman is possibly the other dude up top and he’s in a program with Sami Zayn… again.

Bray Wyatt, The Miz, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Ricochet are on top of the midcard heap, Zayn, Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe, and Robert Roode are in some sort of limbo and Cesaro languishing sans The Bar.

On the woman’s side, losing Sasha Banks to inactivity worsen the current state of the brand with Becky Lynch in two title matches with a possibility of moving to Raw. Ruby Riott has lost her steam as a viable threat and the number three woman on Raw is the injury-riddled Alexa Bliss.

Maybe instead of the same old guys, they can use their other stars to work with the other stars.

Why can’t we have EC3 feud with AJ or Seth as a sub-angle?

What have they done to Cedric Alexander and Eric Young?

Maybe if there is a Kofi movement, could there be a Cesaro movement… or has that already sailed?

Smackdown is no different.

Smackdown is slightly better. With that said, their tag team scene has seen better days following the loss of The Usos and The Bar and with The New Day in the championship fray. Also, as far as women characters are concerned, the brand is too stacked. People are disgruntled with how they are treating Asuka but she’s actually booked better than Ember Moon, Zelina Vega, Lana, and in some ways Carmela, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville.

As mentioned, I do not know what to do with my site… which is why until then I am restraining myself from buying a domain name. I can return to Wix, I can muster up the confidence to act like a vlogger and hell… I can stay in Blogger and just do whatever I want.

Here is the thing though – I am not the WWE. Blogger now is free for me but they have many things going against them. They have disgruntled wrestlers eager to jump ship to AEW. Most of their stars have lost their credibility no thanks to the 50-50 booking. Wrestlers would rather stay in NXT than move to the “big leagues”.

I need to go home now. Maybe I need more time to “fantasy book” this situation.

Hmmm… perhaps that could be my thing – I am going to be that dude that fantasy book things.
